Production of NTM & MTC Qualitative Multiplex PCR Detection Kit

ap-rad has designed and manufactured a multiplex kit with the aim of rapid, sensitive, and specific identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTC) and non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) in samples such as sputum, bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL), body fluids, bone marrow, blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and other body fluids, as well as from paraffin-embedded pathology blocks from patients with symptoms or suspected of MTC or NTM infections.

Mycobacteria cause various diseases, including tuberculosis (TB), which remains a major global health problem and leads to significant mortality. Furthermore, the global prevalence of NTM has increased in both developed and developing countries. NTM infection is clinically indistinguishable from TB and poses significant challenges in patient treatment, especially for those chronically treated for pulmonary TB. Since mycobacteria have a different spectrum of disease severity and varying susceptibility to antibiotics, rapid detection and identification of mycobacterial species in the early stages is essential for patient management and infection control. The AP-RAD multiplex PCR kit is intended for use by qualified clinical and research laboratories in the field of real-time PCR techniques and laboratory diagnostic methods.
