کیت استخراج اسید نوکلئیک مدفوع برای کلستریدیوم دیفیسیل | Stool Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit for Clostridium difficile
Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) is a bacterium that causes mild to severe diarrhea and leads to intestinal diseases such as colitis (inflammation of the colon).
Causes of Clostridium difficile
Most C. difficile cases occur in patients who take certain antibiotics in high doses or over a long period of time.
Antibiotics alter the normal balance of bacteria in the gut, and when fewer bacteria are present in the intestine, C. difficile has the opportunity to multiply. When this happens, the bacterium produces toxins (Toxin A and Toxin B) that can damage the gut and cause diarrhea.
Diagnosis of Clostridium difficile
Timely diagnosis of infections caused by this bacterium depends on accurate and precise detection of the genome using the PCR method. To perform the test, the bacterial genetic material (DNA) must first be isolated or extracted. DNA extraction is a key step in PCR. This method is based on DNA extraction after bacterial inactivation and lysis.
Considering the importance of sample quality in the diagnostic stages of one of the major causes of colitis and diarrhea, ap-rad has designed and manufactured the Stool Nucleic Acid Extraction Kit for Clostridium difficile with the aim of detecting C. difficile and extracting it with high purity from stool samples of patients exhibiting symptoms of the disease.
