Description

BCR-ABL P210 Fusion Detection RT-PCR (Conventional) Kit is a specialized and high-quality product of Amir Peyvand Research and Development Company (AP-RAD), designed and manufactured as a one-step qualitative RT-PCR kit for the detection of BCR-ABL P210 fusion. This kit has extensive applications in the molecular diagnosis of leukemias, especially Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML).

The BCR-ABL P210 fusion results from the combination of BCR and ABL1 genes due to the chromosomal translocation t(9;22) between chromosomes 9 and 22, which leads to the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome. This genetic alteration causes the production of a chimeric BCR-ABL protein with abnormal and constitutively active tyrosine kinase activity, playing a key role in the uncontrolled proliferation of blood cells.

The BCR-ABL P210 fusion typically exists in two forms, b2a2 (e13-a2) and b3a2 (e14-a2), both producing a protein with a molecular weight of 210 kilodaltons (p210). This fusion is commonly observed in patients with CML and in some cases of Philadelphia chromosome-positive B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL).

In CML, the oncogene transfer of ABL from chromosome 9 to the BCR region on chromosome 22 results in an abnormally active and constitutively active tyrosine kinase, causing an abnormal increase in white blood cells in the bone marrow. Currently, the most sensitive and specific method for detecting this genetic abnormality is qualitative RT-PCR.

The BCR::ABL p210 Fusion Detection RT-PCR Kit by Amir Peyvand is designed for the rapid, accurate, sensitive, and specific detection of chimeric BCR::ABL p210 mRNA transcripts, making it a suitable option for clinical, molecular, and research laboratories.
