Description

Multiplex One‑Step rRT‑PCR Screening Kit for SARS‑CoV‑2, Influenza A & B (Five‑Gene Detection)

The Multiplex One‑Step Screening Kit for SARS‑CoV‑2, Influenza A, and Influenza B (Five Genes), developed by Amir Peyvand Research and Development Company (AP‑RAD), is an advanced molecular diagnostic kit designed for the rapid, sensitive, and specific simultaneous detection and differentiation of SARS‑CoV‑2, Influenza A, and Influenza B viruses in human clinical samples. This kit is based on one‑step Real‑Time Reverse Transcription PCR technology and targets multiple genes (Five‑Gene Detection) to enhance diagnostic accuracy.

Influenza A and Influenza B Viruses:

Influenza A and Influenza B viruses, belonging to the Orthomyxoviridae family, along with SARS‑CoV‑2 from the Coronaviridae family, are among the most significant causes of upper and lower respiratory tract infections in humans. These viruses can lead to severe disease, particularly in children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals. Their prevalence typically increases during colder seasons (autumn and winter), often beginning with flu‑like symptoms but potentially progressing to more severe conditions such as bronchitis, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia.

Influenza A and B are major contributors to global mortality associated with viral respiratory infections. Common symptoms include fever, chills, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion or discharge, muscle aches, headache, and loss of appetite.

SARS‑CoV‑2 Virus:

SARS‑CoV‑2, the causative agent of COVID‑19, presents with a wide range of clinical manifestations. While many infections are mild and flu‑like, cases of moderate disease (respiratory symptoms and mild pneumonia), severe disease (dyspnea, hypoxia, and extensive lung involvement), and critical illness, including respiratory failure, shock, and multi‑organ dysfunction, have been reported.

Because these viruses share similar clinical symptoms, rapid and accurate differential diagnosis is crucial for selecting appropriate treatment strategies, managing infections effectively, and preventing widespread transmission.

The Multiplex One‑Step rRT‑PCR Kit for SARS‑CoV‑2, Influenza A & B (Five Genes) by AP‑RAD enables simultaneous detection and precise differentiation of these three viruses. It is a reliable tool for clinical diagnostic laboratories, healthcare facilities, and epidemiological surveillance programs, playing a significant role in promoting public health.
