Description

Flu A/B, RSV Multiplex rRT-PCR Kit | Flu A/B and RSV Multiplex Detection Kit

Influenza A, Influenza B, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) are among the most important RNA respiratory viruses that cause upper and lower respiratory tract infections in humans.

These infections are particularly more prevalent in children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals, and usually increase during the cold seasons (autumn and winter). Infection with these viruses often begins with symptoms similar to the common cold, but in some patients, the infection can progress to more severe forms such as bronchitis, bronchiolitis, and pneumonia.

Influenza A and Influenza B viruses, belonging to the Orthomyxoviridae family, are among the leading causes of mortality associated with respiratory infections worldwide. These infections are typically accompanied by symptoms such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion and discharge, muscle aches, headache, and loss of appetite. The severity of the disease can vary depending on age, immune status, and underlying medical conditions.

RSV, belonging to the Paramyxoviridae family, is one of the most common causes of respiratory infections, especially in infants, young children, and the elderly. This virus can lead to bronchitis, pneumonia, and exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the elderly. Common symptoms of RSV infection include mild fever, cough, sore throat, headache, and wheezing, which in some cases may require hospitalization.

Given the overlapping clinical symptoms of these viruses and the importance of rapid and accurate diagnosis for selecting appropriate treatment and controlling disease transmission, ap-rad has designed and manufactured the Flu A/B and RSV Multiplex Detection Kit.

The Flu A/B and RSV Multiplex Detection Kit, utilizing multiplex Real-Time RT-PCR technology, enables the simultaneous, rapid, sensitive, and differential detection of Influenza A, Influenza B, and RSV viruses, playing an effective role in the early diagnosis and optimal management of respiratory infections.
