Description
RSV/hMPV Multiplex rRT-PCR Kit
Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) belong to the Paramyxoviridae family and are RNA respiratory viruses that cause upper and lower respiratory tract infections. These viruses are particularly prevalent in children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals and are most common during cold seasons (autumn and winter).
- RSV is one of the main causes of respiratory infections and can lead to bronchitis, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary infections in the elderly. Common symptoms of RSV include mild fever, cough, sore throat, headache, and wheezing.
- hMPV is primarily transmitted through person-to-person contact and causes symptoms such as cough, fever, nasal congestion, and shortness of breath. Disease progression may lead to bronchitis and pneumonia.
ap-rad has designed and manufactured the RSV/hMPV Multiplex rRT-PCR Kit for rapid, sensitive detection and differential diagnosis of hMPV and RSV viruses in humans. This kit is an efficient tool for accurate diagnosis and clinical management of infections caused by these viruses.
