Multiplex One-step SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A and B Screening Kit (Four Genes)

The Multiplex One-step rRT-PCR kit from Amir Piyوند Research and Development (AP-RAD) is designed and produced for rapid, sensitive, and specific identification of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and Influenza A and B viruses in upper and lower respiratory tract samples of patients with respiratory symptoms. This kit, with its simultaneous detection capability (Multiplex) of three major causes of viral respiratory infections, serves as an efficient tool for rapid differentiation between COVID-19 and influenza types in the early stages of the disease.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is the causative agent of COVID-19, and Influenza A and Influenza B viruses are responsible for seasonal influenza epidemics. The similarity in clinical symptoms of these diseases, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, and general weakness, makes differential diagnosis difficult. Therefore, molecular assays, particularly Real-Time PCR, are used as the gold standard for rapid and accurate identification of viral genetic material.

The AP-RAD Multiplex One-step rRT-PCR kit is designed for the following genes:

N gene for SARS-CoV-2 virus
M gene for Influenza A virus
NS1 gene for Influenza B virus
This kit has a very high detection sensitivity with levels of 0.4, 1.0, and 1.7 copies per microliter for each gene, and its sensitivity and specificity have been reported as 100%.

In the kit’s design, four pairs of primers and four specific probes have been used to enable accurate and simultaneous screening of COVID-19 and Influenza A and B. Utilizing Real-Time PCR technology, this product is fast, accurate, and reliable, and is fully competitive with foreign samples in terms of quality and performance.
